Symfonie is made from laminated birch wood, and the needles are therefore made from a strong and durable material that can withstand heavy use. Birch wood is also a lightweight material. The needles are therefore not very heavy, which makes them easy to knit with for several hours at a time.

The needles are multi-coloured, as they are painted in a mix of yellow, green, red, and blue shades, which also makes them beautiful to look at. The lacquered smooth surface allows the yarn and stitches to glide easily and effortlessly on the needles.
